Forum Announcement:

Since the growing popularity of Facebook, our Forum became less and less visited and used by his members.

Some figures of the last year:

° In 10 Months time the posted messages a day dropped from 350/day to 40/day, some days even less.

° The amount of members dropped from almost 900 to just over 500.

° Although we cleaned up for old messages from time to time, the amount of messages kept growing with around 11000 messages/year. 10 Months ago we reached the amount of 75000 messages being active on the Forum. Now we dropped to 46000, this is a lost of almost 30000 in 10 Months time.

° Only 40% of the members visited the Forum on regular base, the other 60% visited the Forum only 3-5 times/Month, a lot even less. A year ago the percentage of regular visiting was almost 90% !

Because we do not wanna let the Forum die a slow death, what eventually will happen, we have decided to close it down now. It is also not very encouraging for us to keep it going when you see the drop of everything growing every month. We can not keep putting time and money into something that is dieing.

We did not inform our members of the closedown because of the big respons we had a couple of years ago when we wanted to close it down because of continues bashing on the Forum. We hope you all understand these are other, very clearly visible reasons for a closedown. Like said, we don't wanna see 7 years of work die slowly, we rather pull the plug immediatly before it happens.

We wanna thank everybody for the past 7 years. It was fun, but new things take over old ones sometimes. At the start of the internet, we had the MSN groups, those dissapeared when Forums like this one became popular. Now Facebook takes over bit by bit and probably will be the end of Forums like this in the end also.
